2006 Fashion Review and 2007 Current Fashion Trends

Animal prints were a major fashion trend in Fall 2006. Leopard spots were most noticeable, similar to the spots you can find on a big cat. The jewelry hot fashion was Faux tortoise, faceted wood beads, animal print beads, and similar tone beads. The earth tone colors include shades of brown, rust, olive, with black and gray accents. Imagine surfing in the wild in Africa, the fashion was pretty exciting, but I do hope and pray designers and factories are using faux fur instead of furs of real animals!

In the end of the year, the fashion went towards baroque, English royalty was the inspiration for this ornate trend, bold accessories such as brooches, cocktail rings, layered necklaces, medallion motifs, jabots and chunky belts complement the baroque style dresses. The colors were truly jewelry tones: emerald, ruby, topaz, deep amethyst and blue. These are very rich colors; you can really imagine King Henry VIII and his many wives wearing this kind of clothes and jewelry in the palace.

The fashion was strongly influence by the French Empire, the love story between Napoleon and Josephine in late 18 century which inspired this feminine, romantic trends. To match the romantic style dress, the jewelry comes with lace and metal combinations, laser cut lace patterns on metals, hand painted chunky charms, bird motifs, porcelain flowers, faceted glass beads on velvets. The colors that whispers romance is a range of milky pale tones like misty blue, lilac, rose and buttercup. Wow, I can’t wait to see that, it would make any woman feel like a princess!

Wedding Planning – Current Trends In Wedding Accessories

ATTIRE

Wedding attire choices for WOMEN have become less traditional and more of personal preference. According to bridal salon owners, the trend for brides married in 2006, and those planning a wedding in 2007, calls for sleek and relatively simple gown or dress style. Favored are both plain yet elegant gowns or dresses and gowns or dresses adorned with crystal, pearls and lace.

The major contributors to pulling away from the fairy tale gown or dress styles, in favor of elegant simplicity as being the preferred choice for brides, can be contributed to:

Today’s working, price conscious brides who want to adhere to a budget, do not want to sacrifice style or beauty, but want a lot of value for their money.

The growing popularity of destination weddings.
Brides appreciate that these elegant yet simple styles can safely be transported and look fresh and clean upon arrival at the wedding destinations.

The trend for MEN has also become more casual, offering a choice of a dark suit, or dark pants with a white dinner jacket instead of a tuxedo.

THEME WEDDINGS allow even more freedom of choice. For example:

Western attire is quite common in western theme weddings.

Victorian attire in Victorian theme weddings.

Reneasance garb in Reneasance theme weddings.

Casual wear and sandal for Beach weddings, and so on.

JEWELRY

Today’s brides preferred to keep their and their bridesmaids jewelry to a minimum, choosing Swarovski crystal, classic pearls clusters and pearl strands necklaces, with matching earrings. Replicas of celebrity tiaras, as well as tiaras studded with crystal and – or pearls are most popular.

THEME WEDDINGS

Currently, more and more couples are planning theme weddings that express their interests and uniqueness.

Many combine their heritage, religion and – or traditions into their wedding theme, or use them as the central point of both ceremony and reception.

Others choose their theme to coincide with their wedding location.

Yet others who plan a family wedding concentrate on having their children represented.

ACCESSORIES FOR THEME WEDDINGS

Whether dictated by the couple’s interests, background or location, the bride and groom like to have their photo album, guest book, unity candles, pen set, flower basket, ring pillow, bridal purse – money bag, garter, cake top, centerpieces and decorations present their theme.

In fact, the trend is to have as many accessories actually match as a set or a collection, rather than just an assortment of complementing items.

WHERE TO BUY WEDDING ACCESSORIES and CHOICES.

There are many options to purchasing wedding needs, from attire to accessories. The most obvious and traditional being bridal salons.

However, with the enormous growth of the Internet and the high security of shopping carts, the trend is to check and comparison-shop online first.

Shopping for weddings on the Internet, can be done from the comfort of one’s home or office, saving gasoline, precious time and money.

The Internet also introduces items available only on-line.
Some items are so unique they can be purchased only on a specific web site.

It is interesting to mention that A-wedding Day has experienced a surge in gift givers buying wedding items, including complete accessory collections, to be shipped with a gift card to a bride.

Current Trends for Real Estate in Texas

As far as current trends in real estate go, it appears that Texas is destined to have a strong housing economy over the next few years.  The city of Killeen, TX for instance is ranked the fifth least expensive when it comes to the national housing market average.  The current trend for Texas real estate consists of cities throughout the state competing with the national average.  It’s been mentioned time and time again by professionals that Texas real estate is filled with residential advancements.

Central Texas especially competes against the national market average.  There are over 100,000 residents in the Killeen and Fort Hood areas, many of which are military families.  Civilian families rely heavily on the military and their families.  New housing units are being built all the time for military families to live in.  They can choose to rent or purchase.  Needless to say, it’s a trend for those interested in real estate investing to invest in these housing units.  They receive steady income from the influx of military families heading for that area each year.

Another real estate trend in Texas is investing in properties near rodeos and other recreational areas.  Imagine all the money one could make by charging rental fees or parking fees every time the rodeo or circus comes to town.

Considering there are numerous colleges and Universities throughout Texas, one trend is to buy apartment complexes near the campuses and to rent them out to the students.

And as for those who would just prefer to live in Texas, and that have no interest in investing for business purposes, there are new homes being built all the time throughout the state.  Thanks to a steady economy in the Lonestar State, new, affordable homes are going to be available for some time to come.

Current Real Estate Trends in Port Charlotte

The trends in real estate sector always fluctuate rapidly. Prices rise and fall at a very fast rate, which often enables the investor to get a good profit margin.

Such changes in trends also benefit the individual who is on a lookout for a suitable vacant lot for building homes.

What are the suitable trends?

In case you are planning to invest in real estate or intend to build a new home, you should always wait for the right trend to set in into the industry.

There are various indications that guide you about the most favorable time to invest in land for personal or official purposes. The first indication in this regard is a steep rise or fall in the prices of land in a particular area. You can get such information if you go through some local newspapers on a regular basis or are in touch with the real estate agents of that area.

The second main indicator is the rate at which that particular land appreciates. In fact, in places like the Port Charlotte in Charlotte County, Florida, land has been known to appreciate at a massive rate of 100% across a period of only 12 months.

Other indicators include overall development of the area in question. The area is suitable for investment if new utility areas are coming up around the concerned location. You can also consider it a good indication if a lot of recreational, sports or other such leisure venues are coming up.

The Port Charlotte Area

The recent trends in Port Charlotte area reflect a very promising picture. Not only has the land appreciated at a very good rate, but the Charlotte County and especially Port Charlotte have also seen the development of a vast number of facilities and places of interest in the last few years.

Such favorable trends make the vacant lots in Port Charlotte a very good option for investment. You can be sure of lots of lucrative returns especially if you choose to invest in the coastal area.

Even the media has widely acclaimed the Charlotte County and especially Port Charlotte as one of the best areas in the region for investment in real estate.

About procuring lots

To procure a suitable vacant lot in Port Charlotte, one of the most common methods is to register yourself with your local real estate agents who will inform you of the suitable options from time to time.

However, in the recent years, internet has also become a very useful means of finding such options. You can visit one of the many websites that give good details of vacant lots in a particular area, along with information regarding the main surrounding attractions and landmarks.

Trends This Winter

As the days begin to get shorter again and Autumn is just around the corner, the catwalk has again shown us how we can stand out from the crows this coming season – short of wearing reflective materials, that is.

Clean lines and a minimalistic look, with emphasis on function and practicality have been the buzz words for the up coming autumn/winter season with muted neutrals for a land girl look to accompany the 1940′s military influenced greatcoats which is a male must have. However, delighted audiences have been surprised by the explosion of colour emanating from the catwalk as saucy scarlets, icy blues and tangy yellows made their debut producing an uplifting feel-good factor that usually only a week in the sun can provide.

Stella McCartney, Versace, Emilio Pucci and Bottega Veneta all dazzled audiences with head to toe scarlets, but instead of using contrasting colours too they created texture with different farces including faux furs, lace and silks. By marrying bright autumnal tones with deeper darks, you can update your wardrobe straight away and be right on trend this season. Definitely something to talk away from these stunning catwalk shows, a combination of bold colour mixes, layering and elegant embroidery was also showcased by Meadham Kirchhoff and Jean Paul Gaultier.

You are also encouraged to be bold in your choice of colour for neckwear, hats and gloves and replace chunky jewellery with patterned or embellished scarves. These can be worn in a number of ways, ensuring that an outfit can be updated and changed in an instant, giving you immediate flexibility for when you are on the go. Animal prints are making a big come back this season in a range of audacious blouses to be balanced with more elegant camel coats and pencil skirts or in a more subtle nod to the trend through the use of vibrant accessories. Alternatively look to the inspiration of French chic through a must have red dress or bold horizontal t’s mixed with a classic trench coat and sharp hat as demonstrated by the Emma Francois label, Sessun.

An old fashioned flavour can be introduced through a collection of accessories, and silver and gold jewellery worn together to really mix it up. Handbags made from mixed metal and highlighted with studs and rivets are a great addition to any outfit, and a classic example of this is the New York Times’ must have item this Autumn, the tribal inspired TCHERASSI Mochila Bag. Complete the look with the perfect shoes: over the knee boots or boyish loafers, as demonstrated by Daks and Marc Jacobs, vibrant clogs by the Swedish Hasbeens, or even Saddle and Dolly shoes by the progressive YMC (You Must Create).

Men’s fashions for this season feature block colours too, in the form of rugby scarves and beanies with thick stripes. Add some Aviator boots and shearling lined gloves to complete the look.

The key this season is to be daring in your choice with exquisite fabrics to enhance the classic and minimalistic lines that graced the catwalk. Don’t be afraid to mix it up with an injection of bold colours and use your accessories wisely to update existing outfits or enhance new ones.

Looking for some designer womens fashion? Check out some of Sessun‘s current trends if you’re looking to update your wardrobe.
